On the night
before Jesus died, he had supper with his disciples
Then, went to
the garden to pray...
Jesus was
arrested and brought before Pilate...
 
A strong man
was taken from the crowd to carry the cross...
 
They crucified
Jesus and two criminals...
  
They then
rolled dice for his clothing...
Some made fun
of Him, but one asked to be remembered.....
Seeing his
mother there with John.....
 
Each time we come to
Mass, we celebrate the passion and death Jesus. We
each take our places around the altar as the characters in Jesus'
passion and death. We come each time as one or even more
of the those in the Passion story of Jesus.
We come as
Pilate and the soldiers who crucified Him...
We come as the
Good Thief....
 
We come as the
Women of Jerusalem...
We come as
Mary....
We come as
Joseph of Arimathea and even Judas...
We come before the Lord as we are with all
our faults....
 
With all our
successes and our failures....
 
We come to celebrate
God's love for us
